No. EasyMockInterview bundles a Gemini AI key — you don't need to create or provide anything. Just download, install, and it works out of the box.
The app tries to run Whisper locally (free, no API calls). If unavailable, it falls back to Gemini's audio understanding API using the bundled key. Either way, you never pay per transcription minute.
All data is stored locally on your device. Audio is processed in memory and never stored. When Gemini is used, your resume and question are sent to Google's API but not stored or used for model training under the standard API terms.
Yes. Set the response language to any of 25+ supported languages in Settings. EasyMockInterview generates answers in that language regardless of what language the question was asked in.

macOS will show "Apple could not verify this app is free of malware" — this is the standard warning for apps that aren't notarized by Apple, not a sign anything is wrong.
